I built this because every budget template I downloaded assumed I didn't have kids. Sitting down each month I'd try to force our real expenses, the sitter, the school fees, the birthday parties, into categories that were never built for them, and the budget would fall apart by week two. So I made the one I actually needed: twelve pages that cover the whole picture, from day-to-day bill tracking to the costs that only show up a few times a year.

What's inside

Get oriented
How to Use This Binder walks you through the four-page monthly rhythm before you start.
Track the money
Monthly Budget Overview, Bill & Due Date Tracker, and Paycheck-by-Paycheck Planner cover income and spending as it actually happens.
Build toward something
Cash Envelope System, Savings Goal Tracker, and Debt Payoff Tracker are for the progress that takes longer than a month to see.
See the full picture
Subscription & Recurring Expense Audit, Family & Kid Expense Planner, Monthly Expense Log, and a Year-at-a-Glance Summary catch the costs that sneak up on you and show the whole year at once.

Every tracker page includes a filled-in example, so you're not staring at a blank grid guessing what goes where.

    Common questions

Is this a physical binder or a printable?
It's a digital PDF you print yourself. Print all 12 pages into any 3-ring binder, or keep the file on your phone or tablet and fill it out digitally.
Do I need a specific app to use it digitally?
Any notes app that lets you type or write on a PDF works, whatever you already use for other paperwork is fine.
How is this different from the free budget templates already out there?
Most free templates are one blank grid. This one has twelve pages built around how a real family budget actually works, filled-in examples so you're not guessing, and space for the costs that come with kids that generic templates leave out.
